Now that it is only a few days left till the wedding I have made some changes to the site.
Most likely if any of you are like me, you have lost the password to the it, so I have only password protected the pictures.
If you wish to view our pictures, the password is the same as it was before or you can
send us a quick note and we will give you the magic password.
Things you may need to know:
- Cell phones don't work out there so if you need to get a hold of us you can call the cabin at 204-437-4616.
- Next, this is a casual beach wedding, so wear something you will feel comfortable in all day out doors. Something semi casual.
- Thirdly, this is an out door wedding, meaning that you will be outside over the majority of it so wear appropriate shoes!
- There are a few beaches around and hopefully the weather will be nice so pack a bathing suit and check out the things to do list.
- If you still don't know how to get to our wedding, check out our maps page. Also there will wedding arrows along the highway at turning points, so keep your eye out for them.
Here is the order of events for the weekend.
Friday June 4th:
- 1:30 wedding golf game. There will be 3 teams of four depending on who actually shows up.
- Others will be helping set up the wedding site at 12 Handorgan Bay (follow the wedding arrows) during the day, anybody is welcome to join in on either event (golf or setup).
- Friday night, Girls and Guys bonfire parties on the main beach at the waterfront cabins by the marina and campgrounds. Feel free to stop in for a drink or three.
Saturday is the big day!
- We will start the day off with photos for the Bride and Groom at 11:30am
- Photos with the Bridal Party at 1:30pm
- Photos with family at 2:30pm
- The rest of you who are in the area can go site seeing or laze on the beach until 4:00pm.
- 4:00pm is the actual ceremony on the beach in front of 12 Handorgan Bay.
- 4:30pm we are meeting at the tent for some refreshments.
- 5:30pm we will start speeches and serve dinner
- 7:00pm will be the approximate time of the first dance.
- At dusk, if the weather permits, we will be releasing Sky Lanterns from the beach. My parents picked these up in Thailand, it is considered good luck to release a sky lantern, and many Thais believe they are symbolic of problems and worries floating away.
Sunday
- A brunch offered at 10:30am (doors open at 10) at the conference center on the golf course for $12.50/person.
- This will be followed by a relaxing day on the beach with the newly-wed couple.
